Blow Tendon (Greyhound)

Shiraz Royal, a 3 and a half year old greyhound, Paul Freeman's kennel star, had blown a tendon while running on the 4th of June 2005. Upon seeing the X-rays, the vet said:
  • 2 weeks for the pain to disappear
  • 2 more weeks before she could start training
  • a further month to complete training
With use of the Bioptron Light Therapy:
  • 5 days of therapy and the swelling was nearly gone
  • 3 more days of therapy and the swelling was completely gone
  • In a total of 8 days Shiraz was back in training
  • 8th July 2005 - she came second in the NZ Stayers Cup Heat
The treatment consisted of:
  • 6 minutes on 4 points around the wrist
  • Treatment was applied twice a day

"Without Bioptron Light Therapy Shiraz would not have been in the line up race."

- Paul Freeman (Kaiapoi, South Island)
