Poor Hoof Growth
Trainer Jim Campin's now-retired galloper,"Hero", received Bioptron treatment in 2000 for a hoof which had required fibreglass packing to make up for poor hoof growth since he was a foal.
In the photo on the left, new growth is visible in the top third of the hoof, after one month. Note also swelling around the coronet.
In the photo on the right is the regrown hoof and healthy coronet after six months.
Colour therapy also improved Hero's behaviour on race days.
