Angel's Fence Injury

Was just 5 when we bought her. We'd only had her 3 weeks, when she got stuck in the fence. We called the vet out, who cut her out of the fence, bandaged the wound and gave her a few injections. She was fine for a few days, then the vet said to bring her into the clinic. We did. They opened up the wound more than once to drain it, cut away part of her frog, which caused a great amount of damage, not related to the initial wound from the fence. We were told, after $5000 worth of vet bills, to put her down. We refused to, and brought her home.

She couldn't walk on her injured leg, so we used the Bioptron Light on her leg.

Within 3 weeks:

she was able to put weight on the leg.

After another month:

she could walk on it, but still limping .

After another 8 weeks:

she could put all her weight on the leg.

Now, two years later:

she is competing at pony club events and doesn't show any sings of lameness from the injury .

The Bioptron light has worked a miracle!

Angel's Hoof
taken two months after she was brought home, and mainly shows the damage done to the hoof, and how much growth had occurred.
